Profesora Viale, as a native Spanish speaker, provides good insight into actual use of the language. She is energetic, enthusiastic, and engaging in her approach to teaching. She clearly expects engagement in return from her students. She tried new things and was creative — one nice example was when she invited another native speaker to class to be interviewed by the class.

Professor Viale is one of the best professors I've had in my college career thus far. She is extremely considerate of each student and always making sure to make connections with us. She cares very much about each individual student and it was always an enjoyable experience to work with her. I would 100% take any future Spanish course with Professor Viale — I would go out of my way to ensure she was my instructor.

Laura is a great teacher. She is truly passionate about Spanish and really cares about her students. I think very highly of her, and have only good things to say about her.

Laura is an awesome teacher and while the class may have felt difficult at some times during the semester, she is always there to help her students.

By far my favorite professor I have ever had. She is an amazing professor, she takes time to get to know each of her students and she takes time to make sure you understand what is going on. She is available outside of class and encourages you to stop by during office hours if you have any questions. She makes learning fun and exciting.

She's super encouraging and does everything she can to help prepare you for exams. I never felt hesitant to ask her for help on anything. Some of the assignments seemed intimidating at first, but they really aren't bad at all. I honestly looked forward to going to her class every week. I'd have her as a professor every semester if I could.

As a minor in Spanish, my Spanish skills improved more in her class than any other in my academic career thus far. She is incredibly caring and compassionate for her students and is very interesting to talk to. If you have the opportunity to do so, I highly recommend her.
